A Call Back to Calvary, Liberty, and Revival
Every divine movement begins with a calling, a moment of clarity when God deposits a vision into the heart of His servant. Light City Mission—The Light Chapel International, Heywood, Manchester, United Kingdom—emerged from such an encounter.
On October 24, 2021, God gave me a clear mandate:
- Lead people back to Calvary.
- Lead them back to the Blood.
- Lead them back to Liberty.
- Lead them back to Revival.
This vision came with a deep realization—salvation is only the beginning. While redemption is instantaneous, spiritual growth, wisdom, and transformation require intentional learning, discipleship, and devotion.
From Preparation to Commissioning
The journey did not begin in 2021. Pastor Oluseyi Solomon had spent 17 years serving in two missionary organizations in Nigeria and another 5 years in two mission-focused organizations in the United Kingdom. These years were seasons of preparation, training, and building experience in missions, leadership development, and discipleship.
In obedience to divine direction, On January 30, 2022, my wife and I were commissioned by my mentor in ministry, Pastor Joe-Jesimiel Ogbe, to establish a church ministry in Heywood, Manchester, UK.
Thus, Light City Mission was born, to deliver people from darkness to Light.
Expanding the Vision: The Missionary Base in Nigeria
Faithfully committed to the work, a new phase of inspiration came on June 2, 2022. While reading two books published by Reformers Publishing House— Reading Is A Must and You Are A Living Book—I received a divine prompting:
“Establish a Missionary Office in Nigeria—a training base for missionaries and dedicated staff who will carry this vision across nations.”
With 2 Timothy 2:1-4 as the foundation scripture, the focus of the mission expanded. The instruction was clear— commit to training others with the wisdom and revelations received over the years for greater impact, effectiveness, and expansion of the gospel.
Light City Mission Today: A Growing Movement
By the grace of God, Light City Mission remains unwavering in its divine assignment. Through weekly worship gatherings, outreaches, and missionary endeavors, and the spread of the gospel.
The Light Chapel International in Heywood, Manchester, is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural community church where all people—regardless of race, nationality, background, or social status—can come and experience God’s transforming power. The love of Christ is at the center of our hearts.
